And, Exhale…
Mt Errigal, 23/09/2025
It’s easy in this rat race we call life to get swept up — running from one task to the next, trying to do everything, all the time. Sometimes it feels like we’re holding our breath, racing to get everything done before we run out of oxygen — the same oxygen we’re saving for those “special” moments that never seem to come.
But what we really need is to breathe — in and out again — to slow our minds and let our souls feel the world around us. To enjoy the days for what they are, not just for what we can accomplish.
I fell victim to this earlier this year. I was so excited about launching Peak n Path and everything that came with it, that I forgot the most basic thing — to sit back and enjoy the journey. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I even lost sight of getting outside.
So, I had some words with myself and took off to Ireland for my birthday. The call to stand on top of a large hill was loud and clear — and I did everything I could to answer it. Standing at the top of Mount Errigal after a taxing climb, I was blown away by the views, the clear skies, and the warmth of the people. And then, just when I thought the moment couldn’t get any more magical, a lovely Irish lady pulled out a flute and started playing the most Irish tune you could imagine. (No exaggeration — I have video evidence!)
Taking my time at the peak, I soaked in every ounce of joy I’d been missing. I vowed never to forget that peace again — how simply slowing down and breathing in the fresh air can calm your entire being.
Maybe that’s what this whole journey — in business, in life, in nature — is really about. Finding those moments to pause, to breathe, and to reconnect with what matters most.
This moment on Mount Errigal reminded me why I started Peak n Path — to create a brand that encourages people to reconnect with nature, protect it, and find peace in its simplicity. Because when we slow down and breathe, we see more clearly what really matters — the planet, our people, and the paths we choose to take.
